AR-Muse
Overview
Experience paintings beyond the usual lens.
Background
Paintings are a snap shot of an experience that artists wish to express. The use of augmented reality (AR) can extend storytelling beyond the static painting.
Solution
Several paintings are created, each depicting a part of a story. Through a phone application, users point their camera at the painting to extend their understanding through animations and interactions with it. By pointing at specific parts of the painting, users can gradually complete the story. These interactions allow artists to curate and guide a user’s journey through the works of art.
